Some kids have all the luck! When I was growing up, I fantasized about being a pilot and then an astronaut. The Museum of Flight in Seattle hosts the Aeronautical Sciences Pathway (https://www.museumofflight.org/Education/Aeronautical-Science-Pathway) program for high school juniors and seniors to take them there. In my photography of their graduation, I captured their project demonstrations for the parents - from drones to historic aviator/aviatrix reenactment to Air Traffic Control rules to the tradeoffs between asphalt and concrete runways.
Then LOTS of smiles when they received their completion certificates. Some kids accumulated 60 college credits, and soloed in small aircraft before their high school graduation. Nice! I know it was a LOT of work!
My best to them as they fly forward!
